October 2022

The takeaways from the Esomar Congress 2022 – In today’s episode we are going to talk about the major event of the insights and data industry, the . It has been held in Toronto and has represented the big comeback to in person global events. On a side and more personal note, it has been important to me as Toronto was the venue for the 2020 Congress, the one of my 2nd year as the Esomar President, frustrated by Covid (both the Congress and myself). So, yes, this year’s edition had a special meaning to me. Not only for this reason but, very importantly, for being the 75th anniversary of the association. An excellent opportunity to celebrate the contribution that ESOMAR has had to our profession, industry and our societies.

For this episode, I am really happy to count with 2 of the responsible for the Congress content: Graeme Lawrence from Insites Consulting as the Programme Committee chairman and Fenny Léautier from Philips as member of the committee. We get to better know these two influencers of our industry who talk about Congress and the main learnings they took away from this edition around:

  • Esomar is the moment where best ideas from agency and client side come together to create the future together
  • How the Programme Committee works and how rich and inspiring it is for its members. The independence of this team
  • What if? What was the aim for this particular motto? The impact of Covid to set the re-set bottom
  • The massive change of how we collect insights and connect to human truth experienced in the last couple of years defines how we prepare for the future. What is the impact we can create as insights professionals?
  • Human Centricity
  • The Impact of insights within organizations
  • Think slow & Act fast
  • The most global representation on the stage
  • Trending Topics introduced at an early stage
  • New required skills
  • What if by Fenny and Graeme. True inspiration
